María Eugenia González Paredes was born in Guadalajara in Autumn, and perhaps that’s why she loves colorful leaves. She now lives in New York, where she continues to grow as a visual artist and volunteer in a community garden in Riverside Park. When she isn’t tending to the plants, she is photographing or drawing them, continuing a lifelong dialogue with images. For her, visual language has always been a way of understanding the world – an intimate thread connecting observation, memory, and imagination.

María Eugenia González Paredes nació en Guadalajara, en otoño y, tal vez por eso le gustan las hojas de colores. Actualmente vive en Nueva York, en donde se desarrolla como artista visual. En paralelo colabora como voluntaria, a cargo de un jardín del Riverside Park, en Nueva York, y cuando no está cuidando las plantas, les está haciendo fotos o dibujándolas. A lo largo de su vida, la imagen ha sido su medio de expresión y comunicación, el hilo que une su trabajo artístico con su mirada personal sobre el mundo
